What is the difference between health-related and skill-realted physical fitness?

Health related fitness is completely mandatory as a means of improving ones health and physical atrophy. While as skill-related fitness is mean't to improve physical capabilities in a certain area for a specific purpose and isn't required for good health.

What are the health-related components of physical fitness?

Flexibilty, Muscular Endurance, Muscular Strength, Cardiovascular Endurance, and Body Composition.

What are the skill-related components of physical fitness?

Coordination, Reaction Time, Speed, Balance, Agility, and Power.

Why does a person not have to a good athlete to be physically fit?

One's physical skills don't have to be of an athletes to maintain  health simply because the components don't fit whats required for good health.

Why is it important to know your current level of health-related fitness?

With this knowledge in mind one can effectively set goals that target the weaker areas in their physical fitness and thus develop effective means of reaching those goals.
